  2. I chatted with my friend from Brazil on Facebook. We had a talk about difficulties of different languages and discussed each other's determinations for the future. We found out that Portuguese and Russian languages have many phonetic similarities.

    1. Great! By "determinations" you mean plans for the future, don't you? I'm afraid "determination" is only used in singular, while its meanings are as follows:
      noun
      1.the quality of being determined; firmness of purpose.
      "those who succeed because of sheer grit and determination"
      Synonyms:resolution, resolve, resoluteness;
      2.the process of establishing something exactly by calculation or research.
      "determination of molecular structures"
      Synonyms: calculation, discovery, ascertainment, establishment, fixing, deduction, divination, diagnosis, discernment, check, verification, confirmation
      "the first determination of the speed of light"

    2. It is rather questionable, as different dictionaries give various meanings and grammatical features, but I won't argue :)

    3. Tereza, Alyona and I have discussed the topic connected with types of student classes. We came to a conclusion that each type of classes is favourable for learning. The first one is more appropriate for the lectures and theoretical subjects. As for the second one, it is better for practical lessons and seminars. This type of classes can unite students, and teachers can get a feedback from the audience.
      We would prefer both variants because sometimes it is good to combine and change the way of studying. Moreover, it depends on the type of the lesson and type of university.

    4. Thanks for sharing your opinion with your peers and me. Indeed how the class is taught depends on its goals and objectives. Can you remember and share with your peers and me an example of a particularly memorable class you had? What made it so memorable? Also, if you could remember an example of a class which for some reasons was not so succeful and share it too, it'd be great.

    1. I haven't thought about it but it seems like an interesting idea. Let me try to find a way to have the discussion of memes and their importance in the context of today's culture and prepare a task for you that we'll do after we finish doing The Global Student Task.

      Meantime, can you give me some idea about some kind of memes you like. Maybe you can post some of your favourite memes in your blogs, can you?

  15. Nastya and I have discussed the pros and cons of lectures and seminars. Basically, both of them have their advantages and disadvantages. Lectures can be boring, but we can learn something new there. And as for seminars, they give us the opportunity to share our thoughts and ideas with our peers:)
    We have experienced both types of studying and find them useful

    1. So, what you are saying is that they both are important in different contexts and for different purposes. Can you remember an example of a particularly successful lecture and seminar taught using the approaches we are discussing? What made them so successful? Also, maybe you have an opposite example too of a lecture and/or seminar that was not successful and discuss what made it less successful?

  16. Work Pressure: Students receive 5-6 assignments for a different subject each week. The amount of work is important. Students have to work day and night to meet the expectations of the professor, it takes a few bucks to get help, sometimes it is not possible for them to spend their time in assignments. For this, they need assignment help so that their assignment can be completed easily and they feel the need of a good expert to write the assignment.
